Elizabeth

Standwell – Your Partner in Postural Well-being
As a classically trained fine artist turned professional aerial acrobat. Her transition from canvas to circus came in her late twenties, demanding peak physical condition and relentless dedication to movement. In pursuit of recovery and performance, she explored nearly every type of bodywork available: sports massage, chiropractic, dry needling, shockwave therapy. Some offered short-term relief, others made things worse — but none provided lasting change. In 2019, she met Roy socially and was introduced to Advanced Biostructural Correction™. The shift was immediate. As her body’s structural compensations were addressed, everything started to click: recovery improved, strength increased, and complex aerial movements that had eluded her for years suddenly became possible. She felt more open, more balanced, and more powerful — both in training and in everyday life. Today, Elizabeth brings that personal experience into her work behind the scenes at Standwell. While she’s not involved in treatment, she plays a key role in guiding new patients, coordinating care, and sharing the story of postural correction with the wider community. Her mission is to help more people discover what it feels like to move freely, feel better in their skin, and experience the transformation that true structural change can bring.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about our sessions, approach, and what to expect.
Are treatments covered by insurance?
Yes, if alternative care is part of your package. Consult your policy for exact details.
Do I need to be in pain to benefit from Standwell treatments?
Not at all. While many people come to us with pain or discomfort, others seek us out to improve posture, reduce fatigue, breathe better, or perform at a higher physical level. Standwell is about proactive care — helping you function and move at your best, no matter your starting point.
Is Standwell only for adults, or do you treat children too?
We welcome people of all ages — adults, children, and students alike. Early posture correction can have a powerful impact on a child’s development, while adults often come to us to unwind years of structural compensation. Our pricing reflects these different life stages, but the method remains the same.
How do I book an appointment, and what should I expect?
You can book your appointment easily online through our booking page, or reach out if you need assistance. Your first visit includes a full postural assessment and your first treatment. From there, we create a tailored plan that helps you stand well — not just today, but for the long run.
I was recently injured or in a serious accident, should I schedule an appointment right away?
A full medical workup must be conducted first. We will immediately refer you to your GP if serious contraindications to care are suspected.
I’m only in Amsterdam temporarily — is it still worth booking an appointment?
Yes, absolutely. Even a single session can have a noticeable impact. Many of our clients — including travelers, digital nomads, and Republica guests — book short-term packages or one-off sessions to reset their posture and relieve built-up tension. You don’t need a long-term commitment to benefit from postural correction.
